Future Voices: open mic

What's On

Future Voices: open mic

Someone’s tuning up a guitar. There’s a whispered bit of poetry being practised by the river view in the foyer. Over by the lifts, someone debates where to grab chips after. Only in Liverpool do you get open mic nights with a side of museum nostalgia – welcome to Future Voices.

What’s It About?

This isn’t your usual open mic behind the curtain of a smoky pub. Future Voices takes over the Museum of Liverpool for an evening packed with music, poetry, comedy, spoken word, drama and storytelling. It’s a stage for anyone brave enough to step up, from the plucky first-timers to the old hands looking to share a memory or two. If you’ve got something to say (or sing), here’s your cue.

When Is It On?

You’ll want to mark this in your calendar: Future Voices is taking place on 1 November 2026. No times to memorise, so you get the joy of planning your Saturday around that moment someone belts out their favourite Beatles cover or a poem about Stanley Park.

Where Is It?

The action’s not in a back room or a poky cellar, but right in the city’s heart: Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG. Handy for the train, the ferry, or a scenic stroll if you’re feeling lively.

Tickets

Good news for your bank balance: entry is free. If you’re feeling generous, donations are welcome on the night. Book your place through the official Museum of Liverpool event page.
