The chatter from the bar quiets for a moment, pints in hand, as a fresh face treads onto the bright stage. It’s New Act Night at Hot Water Comedy Club, and everyone’s craning – no one’s quite sure what they’ll hear next, but that’s half the fun. Some lads are already whispering bets over first gags, while a table at the back’s acting like comedy agents with stronger opinions than LinkedIn.
What’s It About?
Every seat’s a front row as Liverpool’s boldest new comics step up for a shot at Hot Water glory. Expect raw routines, nervy introductions, and the kind of punchlines you’ll repeat to your mates on Monday. There’s nothing predictable about a New Act Night – one minute it’s a confession about growing up in Huyton, the next it’s a takedown of city centre parking. If the act flops, nobody’s fuming. If they smash it, that’s your story for weeks. For proper comedy fans, it’s the city’s best training ground – and everyone’s in on it.
When Is It On?
The next New Act Night is on Saturday 25 October 2026 at 7pm. Good timing for a laugh before heading out – or just making it the main event.
Where Is It?
Hot Water Comedy Club, 17 Blackstock Street, Liverpool, L3 6ER. If you haven’t been to Blackstock Market yet, it’s worth a nose, sound atmosphere and always full of stories.
Tickets
Believe it or not, this one’s free. No need to sell your prized LFC badge collection. Reserve your spot on the official site: Book New Act Night tickets.
