The doors swing open on Blackstock Street and you can tell straight away it’s not going to be your average Sunday. Instead of the bossy smell of anaesthetic and a waiting room full of coughs, you get the promise of sharp stories and a strong medicine cabinet of laughs. Nurse Georgie Carroll is clocking on at Hot Water Comedy Club, and she’s prescribing her trademark Aussie wit for Liverpool this October.
What’s It About?
If you’ve ever worked in an NHS hospital – or even just waited more than two hours for a cuppa at A&E – you’ll know the frontlines can be absolute chaos. Georgie Carroll, an actual nurse before comedy beckoned, takes that world and squeezes every drop of comedy out of it. Expect characters you recognise instantly (not all of them wearing crocs), tales that’ll have you clutching your sides, and a running commentary on what really happens when things go a bit sideways on the ward. This is no dry medical lecture. If anything, it’s a crash course in how to find the funny whatever life throws at you.
When Is It On?
Georgie Carroll’s Infectious lands for one show only on Saturday 25th October 2026. The laughter is set to start at 4pm. A perfect way to shake off those late Sunday blues (or just something to laugh about before the next hospital drama starts on the telly).
Where Is It?
All roads (or at least a few bus routes) lead to Hot Water Comedy Club, 17 Blackstock Street, Liverpool, L3 6ER. No need to wander the city – you won’t find this show anywhere else.
Tickets
Tickets are available from £23.50, and you’ll need to grab them through the official Hot Water Comedy Club event page. Considering the price of a takeaway these days, it’s not bad value for an hour on prescription comedy.
More Information
Everything you need – official event details, accessibility information (if it’s announced), and any last-minute updates – can be found on the Hot Water Comedy Club event page.
If you fancy seeing a nurse who genuinely knows how to deliver a proper punchline, make sure you don’t miss your slot. And maybe leave your medical questions at home – Georgie’s off duty.
