Most Liverpool nights out don’t begin with tales from Rome, but there’s something about our city that brings out the best in visiting comics. This October, the Hot Water Comedy Club is handing the mic to Francesco De Carlo, whose punchlines cross borders as easily as Scouse humour gets belted round the table at the pub.
What’s It About?
Francesco De Carlo isn’t your usual sardonic Brit or Stateside export. He’s Italian, slightly bewildered, and has opinions about every country he’s lived in (spoiler: turns out everywhere’s a bit mad). His Live in Europe show promises a big mix of culture clashes, language mishaps, and stories of life on the road from a comic who’s played everywhere from The Comedy Store to some very questionable bars in continental Europe. If you’ve ever wondered what Liverpool looks like through the eyes of an outsider, this is your night.
When Is It On?
It’s one night only: Thursday 23 October 2026, with the show starting at 9:45pm. Perfect timing for a laugh after tea, or before you wander down to try your luck on the arcades if you’re still feeling lively.
