The morning’s still early and already there’s a small gathering of pushchairs assembling by the Pier Head. It’s not the ghost of Cunard fares gone by – just another parent on autopilot, making their way to the Museum of Liverpool for a city tradition: wrangling toddlers who have more questions than the pub quiz at the Clarry.
What’s It About?
‘Tiny Liverpool – Little Liverpool special’ is a gentle, colourful session for babies and toddlers, taking over the museum’s hands-on children’s gallery for one day only. Designed with younger children in mind, the event offers a safe, indoor space where little ones can poke, splash and play, all with a Liverpool theme. Expect interactive fun and plenty of local stories made small – so even the youngest can get a taste of the city’s character.
When Is It On?
This toddler takeover runs on 23 October 2026, starting at 10:15am. No need to worry about nap time just yet.
Where Is It?
You’ll find it at the Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG – that big curved glass building right on the waterfront, just down from the Liver Birds. Follow the laughter. Or the trail of rice cakes.
Tickets
This is a ticketed session, so booking ahead is the way to go. Tickets and more details are available direct from the museum’s official event page: Tiny Liverpool – Little Liverpool special tickets.

One word of warning – at some point, you’ll end up learning more about the city’s history than you expected. The kids? They’ll just wonder where the echo in the tunnels comes from. Sound.
