Someone’s singing ‘Yellow Submarine’ in the museum foyer and that, really, says it all. Liverpool wouldn’t be Liverpool without The Beatles, and for one day this autumn, the World Museum is rolling out the red carpet for both Fab Four fans and the simply curious. It’s all part of National Museums Liverpool’s 40th birthday – and what better way to celebrate than with a proper Beatlemania bash?
What’s It About?
On 29 October 2026, the World Museum transforms for ‘Beatlemania: National Museums Liverpool at 40’. Expect a day packed with creative workshops, immersive sound, and hands-on discovery, with the spotlight fixed on The Beatles’ music and cultural legacy. Whether you’re a lifelong devotee or you only know your Lennon from your McCartney by the wigs, there’ll be something for all ages and levels of Liverpool trivia.
The museum promises a blend of activities designed to get you singing, making, and learning – all in the name of the Fab Four. It’s not just about listening to the tunes, but diving into what made Liverpool’s most famous export a phenomenon that hit every corner of the globe.
When Is It On?
This Beatlemania spectacular takes place on Wednesday 29 October 2026. Activities will run throughout the day – so there’s plenty of time to get stuck in and still have a wander round the Egyptian mummies after.
Where Is It?
Everything’s happening at the World Museum, William Brown Street, Liverpool, L3 8EN. Right at the heart of the city, just a short walk from Lime Street – so even if your train is late, you’ll make it before anyone breaks into ‘Hey Jude’.
Tickets
Entry is free and donations are welcome. No need to raid the penny lane jar unless you fancy helping to keep events like this going. For full event details and to secure your place, visit the official World Museum event page.
