Step inside World Museum this February and have a go at cracking the code of the ancient Egyptians. One Sunday, a handful of Scousers will swap their phone screens for papyrus and uncover the art of reading real Egyptian hieroglyphs. Expect your mates in the group chat to be dead jealous – it’s not every day you can read a pharaoh’s Instagram (well, sort of).
What’s It About?
This short course at Liverpool’s World Museum is your chance to finally learn what all those symbols on Cleopatra’s jewellery mean. Led by expert staff, you’ll get a real introduction to the language of the ancient Egyptians. By the end, you’ll have started to read actual Egyptian inscriptions. Perfect for any history buff who’s ever wanted to sound clever on holiday – or just add a new party trick.
When Is It On?
The course takes place on Sunday, 28 February 2027.
Where Is It?
World Museum, William Brown Street, Liverpool, L3 8EN
Tickets
You’ll need a ticket to join the course. Book your spot on the museum’s official website and make sure you’re not left reading about it afterwards.
