You know it’s going to be a curious Thursday in Liverpool when someone like Ray O’Leary shows up at the Royal Court Studio. If your week needs a shot of sharp comedy and you fancy catching someone who’s big news in New Zealand before everyone else in town’s talking about him, this is bang on.
What’s It About?
Ray O’Leary – I Can See O’Leary Now The Ray Has Gone is exactly what it sounds like: clever, self-aware stand-up from a comic known for his surreal dryness, towering frame and almost philosophical take on the ordinary. He’s got form in poking fun at absolutely everything, so whether you’re plotting to sneak out of work early or dragging your mates along for something a bit different, you’re sorted.
No need to swot up on his New Zealand telly appearances unless you want to act dead cosmopolitan at the bar – just turn up and let the man himself do the legwork. If you leave without at least one new random fact, you’re not listening properly.
When Is It On?
Ray O’Leary performs at Liverpool Royal Court Studio on Thursday, 4 March 2027. The show starts at 7:00pm – plenty of time to squeeze in a bit of scran before heading over.
Where Is It?
This one’s on at the Royal Court – Studio, Liverpool Royal Court, 1 Roe Street, Liverpool, L1 1HL. If you get lost, just look for the famous Royal Court building by St John’s Gardens – everyone knows it.
Tickets
Tickets are £20. You can book online through Liverpool Royal Court’s official site. Seats in the Studio can go fast, so don’t leave it until your mate messages you last minute.

If you end up seeing a double rainbow on your way to the gig, just take that as a good omen – or possibly a warm-up act.
