More Than Words: Black History Month Panel & Performance at the Everyman

The queues outside the Everyman mean one thing: something interesting’s going on. This October, it’s the return of Black Stage Pass for their annual Black History Month gathering – and they’re not just talking, they’re performing too.

What’s it about?

‘More Than Words’ brings together a vibrant panel and live performance, all under the banner of celebrating Black voices, experiences and creativity in Liverpool. Hosted by Black Stage Pass, the evening weaves together on-stage conversation and performance art, spotlighting some of the city’s most compelling voices. If you’re partial to a good debate or love seeing local talent take to the spotlight, you’ll be right at home in the Everyman’s warm old circle.

When is it on?

This one’s for your October diary: Thursday, 22nd October 2026. A proper yearly highlight, landing right in the middle of Black History Month.

Where?

Pull up under the neon at the Everyman Theatre, Hope Street, Liverpool. If you haven’t been for a while, consider this your excuse to revisit the legendary orange seats and maybe spot a familiar face in the bar upstairs.

Tickets

For tickets, head to the official Everyman & Playhouse booking page. The most up-to-date details on ticket prices and availability will be there direct from the theatre (so no stress about any daft fees).

All told, it’s an evening for lively stories, big ideas and maybe one or two proper standing ovations. Whether you go every year or this is your first panel event, you’ll leave the Everyman a bit more inspired – and possibly still mulling it over on the 86 bus home.
