Nipping through Williamson Square on a crisp Thursday in November, you might hear a bit of a buzz coming from the Playhouse Studio. That’ll be Homotopia in full flow: the QueerCore Showcase is rolling into town, promising an evening that’s anything but ordinary.
What’s it about?
This is Homotopia’s QueerCore Showcase – a night set aside to celebrate the freshest creativity, experimentation and ideas from the city’s evolving queer scene. It’s not a formal sit-down affair with polite applause. Instead, expect an evening that throws out the rulebook, putting the spotlight on local LGBTQ+ creatives who aren’t afraid to shake things up. From performance to spoken word and a few surprises along the way, it’s a stage for bold new work and a proper taste of what’s coming next in queer Liverpool.
When is it on?
It’s a one-night-only affair: Friday, 13th November 2026. So if your calendar’s looking a bit grey as the nights draw in, this could be just the ticket to spice things up.
Where?
You’ll find it at the Playhouse Studio, right in the heart of Liverpool. No better spot for a bash that doesn’t mind ruffling a few feathers and pushing a few buttons. Handy for a pre-show cuppa or a post-show bevvy too.
