The table’s set, the script’s ready, and somewhere off Hope Street, a distinctly Scouse Sherlock is about to meet his match – if he can dodge a pirate or two.
What’s it about?
This November, Playdio returns to Downstairs at the Everyman with something a bit less elementary, my dear Watson. Picture a Sherlock Holmes mystery with a hefty measure of Liverpool humour and a dash of pirate chaos. Its latest outing, Sherlock Holmes And The Pirates Of the Morselium (or, for those who like their subtitles, The Mystery Of The Devils Hand), is billed as an audio drama adventure – not quite panto, definitely not lecture, but somewhere joyously in between.
Expect a story stuffed with mischief, mystery and local colour, as you join a live audience for a play recorded right in front of you. No need to swot up on your Conan Doyle or brush up your best Victorian accent – just bring along your curiosity.
When is it on?
You’ve got two nights to get your detective coat on: 6–7 November 2026. Great for breaking up those dull, dark nights before festive chaos sets in.
Where?
This caper happens Downstairs at the Everyman – tucked underneath Liverpool’s legendary theatre on Hope Street. If you know your way to the bar, you’re halfway there.
Tickets
Tickets are £16 each and available directly from the Everyman’s own box office. You can book online here. As ever, these events tend to fill up, so if you want a seat for the next Scouse sleuthing session, don’t hang about.

Just don’t blame us if the only mystery you solve is who’s nabbed the last seat near the door. Case closed, la.
