Nothing beats the roar of Anfield under the floodlights, especially when Europe’s in town. On 27th January 2027, Liverpool welcomes RC Lens for a proper Champions League showdown you won’t want to miss.
What’s the match?
This is UEFA Champions League matchday eight, and it’s Liverpool’s turn to host RC Lens. Expect the usual buzz round Anfield as the home crowd gets behind the Reds for another European fixture. Magic often happens on a night like this – just ask your mate who still goes on about Dortmund in 2016.
When is it on?
The action kicks off at 20:00 on Wednesday, 27 January 2027. So, you’ve got the whole day to dig out your scarf, dodge work chat, and sort some scran before heading to the ground.
Where?
All roads lead to Anfield for this one. The postcode is L4 0TH, but if you’re local you probably already know the drill: past the caffs, down the hill, a sea of red wherever you look. Whether you’re up in the Kop or down by the pitch, you’ll be part of another big European night right in the heart of Liverpool.
Tickets
If you’re hoping to be there in person, make sure to check out the official Liverpool FC tickets page for all the details. Check early, as Champions League nights at Anfield are as popular as a Greggs on County Road at lunchtime.

Whatever happens on the pitch, at least there’s no way you’ll miss the halftime pie queue. That’s what European nights are really remembered for, isn’t it?
