Somewhere between that second cuppa and planning your Friday night, you realise Liverpool has its own professional basketball team now. And not just making up the numbers either – we’re talking centre stage at the M&S Bank Arena, going toe to toe against the seasoned old hands from Sheffield.
What’s It About?
This isn’t just another basketball match. Liverpool’s squad – fresh to the league and already catching eyes – face off against the Sheffield Sharks, who’ve been in the game longer than most of us have been old enough to dunk. It’s an instant North showdown: old guard versus new blood, with the home crowd roaring on every three-pointer and slam dunk.
There’ll be skill, there’ll be energy, and, knowing Liverpool, there’ll be a proper wall of noise. Win or lose, it’s one for the diary.
When Is It On?
This basketball clash tips off on Friday, 19 February 2027. Perfect for livening up those winter evenings.
Where Is It?
M&S Bank Arena, Kings Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, L3 4FP. Couldn’t ask for a boss venue – right on the waterfront and dead easy to get to.
