You know you’re a proper Liverpool fan when you’re checking your phone in work for away days before you even know if you’ve got the boss to cover. This one’s got all the makings of a big European night – only it’s not Anfield this time, it’s Istanbul calling.
What’s the match?
Liverpool travel to face Fenerbahçe for matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League group stage. It’s set to be a proper test, going up against a team who know how to make some noise on their own turf. Fenerbahçe’s support is never shy, so whichever Scousers make the journey, expect to be heard – and see plenty of red shirts getting waved round heads like it’s normal behaviour.
When is it on?
The match kicks off on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 17:45 (UK time). Perfect for squeezing in a few hours’ work (or pretending), then legging it to the nearest telly with a pint in hand. Maybe don’t tell your boss who gave you the idea.
Where?
This fixture is away for Liverpool – so the boys will be lining up in Istanbul, not Anfield, and hoping to keep the group campaign on track in front of a lively Fenerbahçe crowd.
