Art in the Ev: Great Minds Think – Two Northern Artists Show Liverpool What They’ve Got

Some things in Liverpool just make sense: a brew on a damp afternoon, buses ignoring their timetable, and the Everyman giving local art a stage. This October, the Hope Street favourite does it again with ‘Great Minds Think’ – the latest in their Art in the Ev series.

What’s it about?

‘Great Minds Think’ lines the walls with new paintings from Daniel Meakin and Fai McCabe, a duo with proper northern credentials (Manchester, but we won’t hold it against them). Their work brings fresh voices and big ideas, right into the heart of Liverpool’s creative patch.

The Art in the Ev series has become a steady ticket for anyone who likes their art up close and not too precious. Wander round, have a nose, maybe spark a chat about what you see.

When is it on?

The exhibition runs from 14 to 27 October 2026. Plenty of time to drop in, whether you want a quiet ponder or a pass-through on your way for scran.

Where?

Liverpool Everyman Theatre, right on Hope Street – the one between the two cathedrals. No chance of getting lost, unless you’re distracted by students pretending it’s not raining.

Tickets

Theatre folk haven’t put a price tag down for this one, so check with the venue for details. Head to the Everyman’s tickets page for up-to-date booking info.
