The World Museum’s foyer always has a buzz about it, but on Saturday 22 November 2026, it’s about to go up a notch. If you’ve ever wandered past a group of teens pitching in ideas louder than a Liverpool derby, chances are you’ve spotted the Youth Engagement Forum in action. And this autumn, they’re throwing a birthday bash for the books – and for the Scousers who fancy a bit of a dance.
What’s It About?
The Youth Engagement Forum, the museum’s powerhouse of young voices, marks its fifth anniversary. For half a decade, they’ve been shaping exhibitions, sparking discussions, and keeping Liverpool museums as lively as a Friday night on Bold Street. This celebration is a chance to see what the group has been cooking up, and (as the name hints) maybe even show off your best jive moves – no pressure if you’ve got two left feet.
Expect a friendly atmosphere, creative activities and the odd surprise. As with most things Scouse and free, turn up early if you want to get stuck in. Whether you’re curious about how young people are changing the scene or you just love a good knees-up, all are welcome.
When Is It On?
This all-day celebration happens on Saturday, 22 November 2026. Check with World Museum for the latest on start times and activities – but as with most good parties, best not turn up just as the cake’s getting cleared away.
Where Is It?
World Museum, William Brown Street, Liverpool, L3 8EN. Easy for buses, trains and a pre-event Greggs if you must.
Tickets
Completely free – but donations are welcome, so your coffee money could support future creative projects. Reserve your spot here via the official World Museum website.
