Sticky carpets are out, iconic skylines are in – and if you’ve ever stood by the Pier Head and pictured saying “I do” as the sun bounces off the Mersey, this will be one for your diary. The Museum of Liverpool is opening its doors for a special wedding venue tour, led by the local team who’ve seen more happy couples (and more nervous best men) than you can shake a confetti cannon at.
What’s It About?
This event gives would-be wedded Scousers (or anyone ready to marry into the city) a proper look at what the Museum of Liverpool offers as a wedding venue. The Hosted By National Museums Liverpool team will walk you through the main event spaces, show how the backdrop looks when dressed for ceremonies and receptions, and answer every question you might have about the big day. All the glory of Liverpool’s history, without your Uncle Tony photobombing the exhibits.
When Is It On?
One day only – 8 November 2026. If you’re hoping for a Mersey-side wedding with a bit of heritage, make sure to save the date.
Where Is It?
Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG. Smack in the middle of the city’s waterfront, with the perfect excuse for a romantic stroll along the river after you’ve had the tour.

And who knows – maybe next time you’re back at the museum, it’ll be for your own wedding photos. At least there’ll be fewer embarrassing disco moves than at your cousin’s do in the function room above the local.
