The chill hits different once you’re inside Sudley House and the clocks are striking late. Maybe you grew up only ever seeing its grand rooms in sunlight, with school trip sandwiches and the odd painting you weren’t allowed to touch. Well, this Hallowe’en, you get to see it in a whole new, unsettling light. Or, to be precise, not much light at all.
What’s It About?
Sudley after dark at Hallowe’en is an interactive night-time tour where the past comes knocking – and sometimes it’s louder than your uncle after a derby loss. You’ll be guided through the stately rooms after hours, bumping into characters who’ve got more stories (and probably more secrets) than your nan’s attic. The official word says you’ll meet ‘characters from the past’ as the lights go out, and let’s be honest, Sudley House is the perfect place for it.
When Is It On?
Friday, 31 October 2026. Doors creak open for the after dark experience at 9pm. Late enough for goosebumps, early enough to tell everyone about it after.
Where Is It?
Sudley House, Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool, L18 8BX. The only gothic pile in south Liverpool where you’re more likely to spot a ghost than a jogger.
