Muse-zine at World Museum

What's On

Muse-zine at World Museum

Picture yourself dodging the drizzle outside St George’s Hall, then nipping into World Museum to find a group of young artists making something that isn’t just doomed coursework for once. That’s Muse-zine – the museum’s monthly session where Liverpool’s creative youth get a proper chance to make art, chat, and get ideas moving.

What’s It About?

If you’re 16–25 and looking for something different, Muse-zine is sound. The museum throws open its doors so you and your mates can make your own art, inspired by the wild mix of objects, artwork and (yes) animals in the place. It’s relaxed and social, so you don’t need to be the next Jackson Pollock or be able to tell a capybara from a camel. Just bring yourself and maybe a bit of curiosity.

Everything’s run by National Museums Liverpool staff who know their stuff, so you’ll get help if you want it – otherwise, you’re free to experiment, mess about, and see where the museum’s collection takes you. No need to panic if you haven’t picked up a pencil since GCSEs.

When Is It On?

The next session of Muse-zine is happening on Saturday, 1 November 2026. Things kick off from 3pm. Just don’t roll up at closing time still clutching your half-finished zine.

Where Is It?

Right in the centre: World Museum, William Brown Street, Liverpool, L3 8EN. You can’t miss it – the lovely big building next to the library and the art gallery.

Tickets

It’s a ticketed event, so if you fancy giving it a go, head over to the official booking page to secure your spot. Spaces can’t be guaranteed on the door, especially with this being free for anyone in the right age bracket.

More Information

You’ll find all the official details and updates on the National Museums Liverpool event page. Worth a look so you know what you’re in for – or at least to make sure you don’t bring your nan who’ll out-embarrass everyone.
