The kettle’s on, the rain’s battering the bay window, and you fancy a bit more than just scrolling. Down at Sudley House, they’ve got something a bit different lined up for anyone who likes the idea of getting hands-on – and coming away with something a bit fancier than your usual doodle.
What’s It About?
Meet and Make is all about having a go with dry point printing – that’s one of those historic techniques that sounds posh but basically means scratching your design onto a tough surface and sending it through a press to create prints. Think old school, the way they did it before everyone had a camera in their pocket. You’ll learn how to create lines and textures, compose your own little masterpiece, and run it through the sort of proper printing process you usually only see in documentaries about artists in Paris eating croissants. All levels and abilities are welcome, so whether you’re the next Turner or just miss the smell of art room glue, you’ll fit right in.
When Is It On?
This hands-on workshop takes place on 12 February 2027 at 4pm. That’s your Friday teatime sorted if you’re looking for a creative spark instead of watching darts in the pub for once.
