Meet and make: dry point printing at the Lady Lever

Some afternoons call for a cup of tea and a sit down. Others deserve something a little more creative. If your hands are itching for a go at something new, Lady Lever Art Gallery has you covered – etching needle, ink and all.

What’s It About?

Dry point etching is a centuries-old printmaking technique where you score your design onto a hard surface. Think of it as drawing, but the lines you make get inked up and pressed onto paper – like old-school Instagram, with more mess and no filters. There’s no need to bring your own supplies or experience, and the team will steer you through each step. Whether you’re an art lover, restless creative or just sick of staring at screens, it’s a proper chance to try something hands-on in the most elegant of Wirral surroundings.

When Is It On?

This session takes place on Friday 19 February 2027, starting at 4pm. It’s an after-work treat or the perfect excuse to leave the house before you start climbing the walls.

Where Is It?

Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, CH62 5EQ.
