Someone’s striking up a tune on the fiddle, there’s the familiar sound of feet tapping, and, somewhere in the background, a gang of little ones are getting stuck into craft tables. It could only be Ireland – or, for one Saturday in October, the Museum of Liverpool.
What’s It About?
If you’re after a day packed with Irish warmth and Scouse welcome, this family day is where to head. The Liverpool Irish Festival and the Museum of Liverpool join forces for a programme of activities celebrating everything Irish – music, crafts, stories and plenty of chances to get involved. Whether you’ve Irish roots, enjoy a bit of céilí music, or just fancy something fresh to do with the family, you’ll find a boss atmosphere and hands-on fun across the museum.
When Is It On?
The festival family day takes place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, starting at 11am. That’s your half-term sorted, isn’t it?
Where Is It?
Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG.
Tickets
There’s no need to fork out – admission is free, with donations welcome if you fancy. For full details or to plan your day, check the official Museum of Liverpool event page.
