You know it’s a big night when you spot a queue curling round Blackstock Street, everybody shuffling for the sticky warmth of Hot Water, pre-loaded with chips and Friday optimism. This time, it’s Larry Dean lighting up the club, and you can hear a Scottish accent in the bar before the doors have even opened. He’s back with his latest show, Hellbent.
What’s It About?
Larry Dean has built a reputation for stories that cut close to the bone – and make Scousers hoot. Hellbent sees him bringing new tales of Scottish family chaos, identity, and schoolboy scrapes, all filtered through his sideways sense of humour. Dean mixes outspoken wit with sharp observations, so if you like your Friday laughs with a bit of heart and a twist, this is your night out. Don’t just take it from the telly panel shows – plenty say he’s even better live, standing right there on that little Liverpool stage.
