A season of song - Winter

What's On

A season of song - Winter

That hush in the main hall, broken by a burst of singing as someone nudges you to quieten your phone. It’s winter at Lady Lever Art Gallery and, for one morning only, you’re invited to swap the tinny radio carols for live voices echoing off marble columns. Proper festive, this.

What’s It About?

It’s simple: the Lady Lever Art Gallery is opening its doors for a live music event right in the heart of the gallery. You’ll hear winter songs performed the old-fashioned way – in person, surrounded by Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces and more potted plants than your nan’s living room.

The gallery promises a seasonal atmosphere, so expect the sort of tunes that go with a frosty morning, a hot cuppa, and maybe the odd chorus you’ll recognise from Christmases past. If you’re after something more warming than a mince pie from the supermarket, this’ll do the trick.

When Is It On?

The main hall comes alive at 11am on Sunday, 13 December 2026. No need to book months in advance – just mark the date if you want your Sunday morning with a backbeat and a couple of classic artworks for company.

Where Is It?

It’s all happening at Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, CH62 5EQ. If you’ve never made the trip, Port Sunlight itself is a postcard neighbourhood, and the gallery is worth a wander even when it’s not alive with song. Just remember, it’s Wirral side, so check your train times, or see if our kid fancies a drive.

Tickets

Entry is free (music to any Scouser’s ears), though donations are more than welcome. Get the details direct from the official museum event page.
