Hot Water’s Breakthrough Act Of The Year FINAL

Hot Water’s Breakthrough Act Of The Year FINAL

Somewhere backstage, there’s a nervous comic practicing punchlines in a mirror, while a mate assures them they’re definitely funnier than everyone else. That’s part of the build-up for Hot Water Comedy Club’s big final – a proper Liverpool tradition for spotting the next big names in comedy before the rest of the world catches on.

What’s It About?

This is the final showdown in Hot Water’s Breakthrough Act Of The Year competition. Emerging comedians from all over have been battling it out round after round, and tonight’s gig is when it all comes together. If you want to see stand-up at its rawest, funniest, and possibly most awkward, this is the night. There’s no fancy TV lighting or big egos, just new talent trying their best to win over a Liverpool crowd. Sometimes that’s the toughest audience of all, but also the soundest.

When Is It On?

The final takes place on Saturday, 1 November 2026. Doors open for a 7pm start, so get down early if you want your pick of the seats. Knowing this city, expect a full house and plenty of support for everyone who steps onstage.

Where Is It?

This one’s happening in the heart of Liverpool at the brand new Hot Water Comedy Club, 17 Blackstock Street, Liverpool, L3 6ER. If you’ve not checked out the new venue yet, this is your excuse. It’s already got the feel of a place where plenty of legends will be made.
