Somewhere between the opening credits and the interval ice creams, Liverpool’s found a new way to put film fanatics to the test. Reel Tours are swapping the living room telly for stage lights, launching their Mega Movie Quiz downstairs at the Everyman. If you’ve ever argued over the best Scorsese or named all seven dwarfs for no real reason, you’ll feel right at home – just bring your best team name and maybe your lucky pen.
What’s it about?
Think of your classic pub film quiz – now magnify it, move it into one of Liverpool’s best-loved theatres, add proper questions and real film lovers running the show. Reel Tours have built a reputation for walking tours and cinematic fun across the city. This quiz promises big laughs, even bigger test-your-film-memory moments, and maybe the odd spirited debate about whether Die Hard is a Christmas film.
When is it on?
The quiz kicks off its blockbuster run on 20 August 2026 and keeps rolling through to 16 December 2027. Events all take place Downstairs at the Everyman, giving plenty of chances to flex your film knowledge over the next year and a bit. Exact session times are to be confirmed by the theatre.
Where?
All the movie magic happens Downstairs at the Everyman Theatre on Hope Street. That means proper seating and, if you’re lucky, the smell of popcorn in the air. It’s one of the friendliest spots in town to debate whether The Godfather or Back to the Future deserves more points on your team’s quiz sheet.
Tickets
The official listing hasn’t revealed ticket prices yet – keep an eye on the Everyman Theatre’s website for updates. When tickets go on sale, you’ll want to be on it faster than someone spotting a Bond reference in the picture round.
