Liverpool Scratch Network: Where Fresh Talent Meets Live Connection

You’re two flights down, squeezed onto a battered barstool, scripts in one hand, biro in the other. There’s a shaken-up energy in the room. It’s Scratch Night Downstairs at the Everyman – and you’re part of something that’s taking shape right in front of your eyes.

What’s it about?

Liverpool Scratch Network isn’t just another open mic or a night propping up the bar. It’s a monthly meet-up dedicated to new work – an opportunity for creatives and industry folk to gather, swap ideas, and see what’s bubbling up in the city’s live performance scene. According to the Everyman, it’s all about building a vibrant community: the sort of place where you might bump into your future collaborator, or just someone to commiserate with about your last tragic monologue.

When is it on?

The Liverpool Scratch Network runs from 25 September to 9 December 2026. That gives you a solid few months to catch the action – or to pluck up the nerve to share something yourself. Best bring your notebook (and maybe a bit of patience; new scripts have a mind of their own).

Where?

Everything happens Downstairs at the Everyman on Hope Street. If you’ve never ventured beneath the main stage, expect character, loads of chat, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that lets ideas breathe. Handy for a quick pint before or after too.
